For leisure applications with moderate energy demands, VARTA® Professional Dual Purpose AGM batteries can be used to start the engine of your motorhome and deliver service power for accessories and electronics. They have been designed for motorhomes, caravans and boats with moderate energy requirements. These batteries are ideal for seasonal use due to their minimal self-discharge, so when you take your boat or caravan out of winter storage, it’s ready to go. Additionally, the VARTA® Professional Dual Purpose AGM is long lasting, with upto 3 times the cyclical stability of conventional batteries. The AGM technology enables superb shock and vibration resistance. Made in Germany with the patented PowerFrame® grid for reliable starting power, fast recharge and corrosion resistance, the batteries are ideal for dual power applications - for both overall energy supply and starting.

  • Extending your battery's lifespan involves a few key practices:

    1. Disconnect cables: Always disconnect the negative terminal first to prevent short circuits, then disconnect the positive terminal.
    2. Check battery's state: For non-maintenance-free lead-acid batteries, visit a professional. For maintenance-free batteries, clean vent pipes and avoid checking electrolyte levels.
    3. Start charging: Keep the battery upright if removing from the car. Turn off electrical consumers before connecting the charger. Connect the red cable to positive terminal first, then the black cable to negative terminal.
    4. Stop charging: Switch off charger when fully charged. Disconnect cables starting with the red cable from positive terminal, then the black cable from negative terminal.
