Även om både AGM- och EFB-teknik används för Start-Stop-applikationer finns det vissa skillnader i teknikernas prestanda. Medan EFB är ett enhanced flooded batteri är AGM ett batteri som är särskilt utformat för krävande tillämpningar och som kan stödja alla typer av start/stopp-system och xEV.
Nedgradering från AGM till EFB rekommenderas inte eftersom fordonets energihanteringssystem är utformat för en viss batteriprestanda. Att uppgradera från EFB till AGM är å andra sidan alltid möjligt och rekommenderas när din kund har återkommande batteriproblem.

För energikrävande applikationer, särskilt för värmefunktioner i långdistanslastbilar eller husvagnar, är kapaciteten i kombination med rekommenderad urladdningsdjup avgörande.

För att förlänga batteriets livslängd krävs några viktiga åtgärder:
- Koppla bort kablarna: Koppla alltid bort minuspolen först för att förhindra kortslutning, koppla sedan bort pluspolen.
- Kontrollera batteriets status: För underhållsfria blybatterier bör du vända dig till en professionell. För icke-underhållsfria batterier, rengör ventilationsrören och kontrollera elektrolytnivån.
- Börja ladda: Håll batteriet upprätt om det tas ut ur bilen. Stäng av elförbrukare innan du ansluter laddaren. Anslut först den röda kabeln till den positiva polen och sedan den svarta kabeln till den negativa polen.
- Avbryt laddningen: Stäng av laddaren när den är fulladdad. Koppla bort kablarna genom att börja med den röda kabeln från pluspolen och sedan den svarta kabeln från minuspolen.
