Hoewel AGM als EFB technologieën worden gebruikt voor Start-Stop toepassingen. Er zijn enkele verschillen in de prestaties van de technologieën. Terwijl AGM een verbeterde natte accu is, is AGM een accu die speciaal is ontworpen voor veeleisende toepassingen en die elk type Start-Stop-systeem en xEV kan ondersteunen.
Het is niet aan te raden om van een AGM naar een EFB te gaan, omdat het Energy Management System van het voertuig is ontworpen voor een bepaalde accuprestatie. Upgraden van EFB naar AGM is daarentegen altijd mogelijk en wordt aangeraden als uw klant te maken heeft met terugkerende accuproblemen.

Met het grote aanbod startaccu's met verschillende technologieën en vermogensklassen is de keuze vaak moeilijk.
Voor het betrouwbaar starten van de motor is voldoende koude-start-prestatie cruciaal. Voor een lange levensduur en de beste gemoedsrust moet de accutechnologie (AGM, EFB, SLI) overeenkomen met de energiebehoefte van het voertuig. Voor toepassingen die veel energie vragen, met name voor hotelfuncties in of caravans, is de capaciteit in combinatie met de aanbevolen ontladingsdiepte van cruciaal belang.

Hoe laad je een accu op pm er het meeste uit te halen?:
- Kabel loskoppelen: Maak altijd eerst de minpool los om kortsluiting te voorkomen en maak dan de pluspool los.
- Controleer de staat van de accu: Ga voor onderhoudsvrije loodzuuraccu's naar een vakman. Bij onderhoudsvrije accu's moeten de ontluchtingspijpen worden gereinigd het elektrolytniveau niet worden gecontroleerd.
- Start met opladen: Houd de accu rechtop als u deze uit de auto haalt. Schakel elektrische apparaten uit voordat u de oplader aansluit. Sluit eerst de rode kabel aan op de positieve pool en dan de zwarte kabel op de negatieve pool.
- Stop met opladen: Schakel de oplader uit als deze volledig is opgeladen. Maak de kabels los, te beginnen met de rode kabel van de pluspool en vervolgens de zwarte kabel van de minpool.
