If you use your boat only on a seasonal basis, VARTA batteries for mobile power supply remain ready for use even during the winter thanks to their low level of self-discharge. As long as they are fully charged beforehand, you can simply put the batteries out of use for up to 6 months.

For safety reasons, you should not use the batteries supplying the on-board electrical system to start an outboard engine or an in-built machine, but always a separate starter battery.
